Why is the bottom LED on my Festool CT MIDI showing red?

The bottom LED illuminates red when the inbuilt circuit breaker has tripped to protect the extractor from electrical damage.

To reset the breaker switch the CT MIDI off using the large square green press button, then switch the vacuum on by pressing the large green button again, the breaker will reset and the tool will start again.

Typically the circuit breaker only trips with a faulty tool or a tool that is more powerful than 1200W.

Constant tripping usually means the tool is too big (watts) or it has an electrical fault. Try plugging a smaller tool (eg 500 watts) in and see if the breaker continues to trip.

If it does trip, it is likely the extractor breaker has a problem and needs to come in for a check up.

If it doesn't trip, usually the tool is too big and/or drawing too much current and needs to be plugged into another power point.

If problems persist please contact Festool service for a technician to examine your tool.
