Why is my Festool machine starting and stopping randomly?
Normally the cause of this issue is a full or partial break in the power cable wires.
With vacuums, the break usually occurs at either the plug or at the point where the cable exits the back of the machine. Gently wiggle the power cable near the plug as well as near the tool. If some wires are broken inside, moving/wiggling the cable may make the broken sections touch and the tool will operate.
You can further troubleshoot this method by straightening any creasing to determine any further wire breaks in the middle of the cables.
