Why do your pads and abrasives have so many holes?
Festool abrasive pads are designed for maximum dust extratcion and performance efficiency. When an abrasive pad is used for an extended period of time it can heat up causing loss of performance and premature wearing of the abrasive surface. Keeping the pad cool increases the abrasive surface longevity. Having numerous holes in the pad also makes the sander highly efficeint at removing dust from the sanding surface which also makes makes for optimal sanding performance.
