What are the Load Ratings for XL DOMINO Connecting Bolts?
PLEASE NOTE: these connectors are not designed for load
The material of XL-DOMINO connecting bolts can withstand a force of approximately 1 tonne in a longitudinal direction and close to 1.5 tonnes across.
If there is a weak point it might be the expansion anchor as these are made of a zinc alloy cast. These anchors can withstand approximately 400kg if the bolts are pulled outwards, unfortunately, the bolts should not be loaded permanently as they become soft. The cast material begins to “crawl” or “float” over time.
Festool always recommends to combine a connection/joint with a wooden DOMINO dowel.
