Can I use my Festool sander to wet sand, if I don't connect a vacuum to the tool?
Some sanders like the ETS 150 , DTS 400 , and any others that have a bag option have a built in fan so can suck water into the unit causing damage to the tool and risk of electrocution.
Other sanders which always need a vacuum for dust extraction (RO / ETS EC 150 ) also are not recommended to wet sand due to the increased risk of electrocution and damage to the tool.
