Are Festool batteries purchased from overseas suitable for Austrlian purchased tools?
Festool tools and chargers purchased overseas are produced to operate at differnt voltages as per individual countries specifications and are not covered by Australian warranty conditions.
A battery charger when connected to a battery measures current, temperature and monitors and adjusts the battery charging rate accordingly. Internal components differ from country to country including differnt part numbers and their control modules which may cause functional issues.
Because of these differences Festool Australia cannot guarantee that the tools and chargers made for overseas markets will be suitable for Australia.
