Which sanders can be used without Dust Extraction and which ones need dust extraction?
It is always advisable to use some form of dust extraction when sanding.

The ETS 150 sanders can be used without dust extraction as it has an internal fan that will remove the dust and can be used with a dust collection bag
The RO 150, RO 125, RO 90, and ETS EC have no fans so it is essential to use them in conjunction with a dust extractor (see the Festool range of Dust Extractors here) and for further information on working with dust and other hazardous substances please see our Dust Safety page here.
