Yes you can use the hepa filter in the CTM 36l M Class Autoclean Dust Extractor for ultra fine particles dusts when cutting MDF board and other fine sanding applications however it is not recommended by Festool. This is because the the flow sensor alarm may go off prematurely and constantly as the CTM 36l was not being designed to work optimally with a hepa filter.
