Can the 0 degree base plate be used on the old OFK 700?
Yes, you can use it on the old OFK 700 and also on the new MFK 700 trimmer. The part number is 491427.
Can the Parallel Rod from the OF 2200 be used in an OF 1400?
No, they are not compatible. The OF 2200 rods are thicker.
Does the new OF 2200 Chip Deflector fit on the OF 2000?
No, the chip deflector supplied with the new OF 2200 does not fit the older OF 2000 router.
Does the router OF 1400 take all collet sizes?
Yes, the OF 1400 takes all collets. It comes with ¼ inch and ½ inch collets as standard. Other sizes are available and must be purchased complete with locking nut due to the unique rubber ring design.
How can I join MFS routing template extension profiles?

Why are there smoke and sparks coming from my new OF 1400?
A little smoke from a new motor is normal due to oil on the brushes from manufacturing. This will burn off during initial use and won’t damage the tool. Sparks may also occur when the brake engages, which is normal.
Would a 12.7mm copy ring fit a 12.7mm cutter of any router?
No. The cutter must be smaller than the copy ring collar to allow for clearance.
Can the VS 600 Dovetail Joining System be used with the OF 2200 router? If not, which router is recommended?
Festool recommends using the OF 1010 or OF 1400 routers with the VS 600 system. The OF 2200 is not suitable as it does not have compatible copying rings for the jig.
Can MFS-S Router profiles be joined together end to end (longitudinally)?
