H-class safety filter bag for the Festool CTH MIDI AC extractor, 3-pack.

The CTH MIDI AC is Festool's H-class autoclean dust extractor, the next step up from M-class for the most hazardous dust categories: asbestos, lead-based paint, mould spores, carcinogenic dust, biologically active dust, and fine mineral particulates. The safety bags in this 3-pack are the dedicated H-class consumable for that extractor: dual-layered polyethylene construction, fleece filter media engineered to H-class specification, and a cover flap with included cable ties for sealed disposal that keeps the captured dust contained from the moment the bag leaves the extractor.

H-class work is different from M-class work. Where M-class lets you tip a bag into a contractor bag and move on, H-class material has to stay contained from capture through disposal. The cover flap and cable ties built into these bags mean the bag itself becomes the disposal envelope. Pull the cover flap over the bag opening, draw a cable tie tight around the neck, and the bag is sealed for disposal at a licensed receiving facility without further handling.

For licensed asbestos removalists, renovation work involving lead-based paint, mould remediation, work in contaminated buildings, or any application where the dust is in a higher hazard category than standard silica, the H-class system is the right specification. Verify with SafeWork Australia and your state-specific WHS requirements that H-class extraction meets the standard for your specific job and operator licensing.
