Functions

Diamond saw blade 160 x 1.8 x 20mm, 28-tooth PCD blade for laminate, HPL, fibre cement and abrasive sheet materials.

The diamond-tipped blade for the materials that destroy ordinary carbide. Laminate, HPL, fibre cement (Hardie sheet and similar), mineral panels and cement-bonded composites are all highly abrasive. They wear carbide teeth fast, turning a fresh blade into a worn-out one in a few hundred metres of cut. This blade's 28 polycrystalline diamond (PCD) teeth offer up to 15 times the service life of a comparable carbide blade. Fewer blade changes, more cuts per blade, lower cost per metre on jobs where you're processing abrasive sheet material all day.

The trapezoidal roof-tooth geometry is built for clean cuts in hard and abrasive material. Like the wood-blade range, this 160 x 1.8 x 20mm diamond blade is engineered for the Festool 160mm cordless plunge-cut and handheld circular saw family. High-quality steel body, colour-coded for fast identification when changing blade types on a mixed-material job.

Fits the TSC 55KSEB cordless plunge saw

Why this blade:

  • 28 PCD diamond teeth deliver up to 15x the service life of a comparable carbide blade on abrasive materials
  • Made for laminate, HPL, fibre cement, mineral panels and cement-bonded composites
  • Trapezoidal roof-tooth geometry for clean cuts in hard sheet material
  • Fewer blade changes and lower cost per metre on jobs with continuous abrasive sheet work
  • Colour-coded blade body for fast cut-type identification at the saw
  • Fits the TS 55 F, TSC 55 K, TSC 55 KS, HK 55, HKC 55, HKC 55 K

Pairs with any 160mm Festool plunge-cut or handheld circular saw and any Festool CT or CTL extractor. Dust extraction with an M-class extractor or above is strongly recommended when cutting fibre cement or mineral panel due to crystalline silica content.

Product Details

Stays sharp for longer.

PCD diamond teeth resist wear from abrasive materials far longer than tungsten carbide. The blade keeps its sharp edge through up to 15 times the cut length of a comparable carbide blade. For trades processing fibre cement, laminate or HPL all day, that means fewer interruptions to change blades and a lower cost per metre cut.
+

Tailored to your perfect cut.

The trapezoidal roof-tooth geometry and cutting angle are matched to the abrasive materials this blade is built for. Clean cuts in hard sheet material, controlled chip ejection, and consistent quality from the first cut to the last metre of blade life.
+

Designed for the system.

Festool blades are designed as a system component, matched to the cordless and mains saws in the 160mm range. The fit between the blade and saw delivers the cut quality, not either part alone. The 1.8mm kerf is shaped to reduce cutting force, extending battery runtime on cordless saws even when working hard materials.
