Justin Macri, woodworker, began making furniture from an early age

At 18 years of age, Justin Macri produces a range of unique and flawless furniture pieces that will make anyone stop and admire. The Sydney based woodworker began making furniture and timber staircases from an early age, and his talent and comfort to step outside the conventional boundaries is clearly evident. In 2012 he won the HSC Timber and Furniture Technologies award at the University of Wollongong, and now works with JMCC Constructions doing high quality timber joinery and residential fit-outs.

The images above show Justin’s work, all of which were entirely built with Festool machinery. Justin finds that Festool products assist in his work by producing a less dusty environment, and also adding versatility and precision when required. The main benefit he finds is that Festool has the power to process dense hardwoods without loading, saving him a lot of time in his day to day work.

A special thanks to Justin for sharing his work with us, and we look forward to seeing your next project!

Tools currently used by Justin include the TS 55 and TS 55 R Plunge Cut Saw, DF 500 Domino, BS 105 Belt Sander, OF 2200 Router, ETS 150 Random Orbital Sander, T 15 and TI 15 Cordless Drills, EHL 65 Planer, CT 33 Dust Extractor, MFK 700 Laminate Trimmer and PSB 300 Jigsaw.
