The Festool Bluetooth system has many advantages. Only one Bluetooth-equipped battery is required to control multiple tools. Set up the battery in a Planex Sander to turn on a dust extractor on or off then, just swap the battery to a Festool jigsaw, and away you go, already connected! Swap the battery to a Festool grinder, same again, ready to go.
Or, using a Festool remote control you can pair up to 5 batteries, plug the batteries into 5 different tools, and all done! 5 tools all connected via Bluetooth to the Festool Dust Extractor. Imagine being up a scaffold and having to switch tools all requiring dust extraction. This system aims for convenience and maximising your time on the job.
As easy as tools, batteries and remote controls are to pair up dust extractors they are just as easy to disconnect so you can use the remotes and batteries elsewhere on the job or in other tools.
Festool even offers a Bluetooth job-site speaker built into a Systainer3 and a unique Battery Charging adapter that turns your Festool battery into a phone charger or a power bank for other Bluetooth wireless enabled devices.
