Festool H Class Dust extractors are approved for dust category H including asbestos dust
High-risk dust includes any dust with carcinogenic or pathogenic particles, as well as mould spores, asbestos, mineral fibres, bitumen, and artificial mineral fibres like glass wool. This type of dust is a serious hazard for any operator, with the exposure limit for H-Class dust being >0.1mg/m³. You’ll need a dust extractor that catches 99.995% of the dust with a grain size under one micron.
Even though all dust classes are risky, one of the most common and dangerous types to watch out for is Silica dust. It only takes a tiny amount to become airborne and create a health hazard, and you can’t even see the particles with the naked eye. If you breathe it in, Silica dust can cause serious damage to your lungs, kidneys, and airways.
The best way to tackle dust and avoid turning your lungs into a filter is to get yourself a good extractor.
Work Safer
Double the safety with a double-layer safety filter bag as prescribed for dusts in class H, this is an additional disposable bag that surrounds the filter bag for safe disposal.
Work Faster
Festool extractors have a filter bag is free to unfold, because of the flat filter and the smooth inner contours of the container. This allows the bag to be filled uniformly and gives nearly 100% utilisation of the filter bag volume. The large capacity and consistant suction upto full saves you time with less frequent bag changes - Invaluable when dealing with H Class dust, get the job done efficiently with Festool
