    High-risk dust includes any dust with carcinogenic or pathogenic particles, as well as mould spores, asbestos, mineral fibres, bitumen, and artificial mineral fibres like glass wool. This type of dust is a serious hazard for any operator, with the exposure limit for H-Class dust being >0.1mg/m³. You’ll need a dust extractor that catches 99.995% of the dust with a grain size under one micron.

    Even though all dust classes are risky, one of the most common and dangerous types to watch out for is Silica dust. It only takes a tiny amount to become airborne and create a health hazard, and you can’t even see the particles with the naked eye. If you breathe it in, Silica dust can cause serious damage to your lungs, kidneys, and airways.
