CXS & TXS Drills

Can I turn off the light on the CXS and TXS?

Yes it can! Continuous lighting, afterglow or LED off can be controlled via the easy-to-reach adjusting wheel on the TXS and CXS drills

Can I use all the Festool drill attachments for the CXS 12?

Yes, you can use all the Festool attachments including the 205710

Can the 13mm chuck go on the CXS 18 and TXS 18?

Yes the CXS 18V Cordless Compact 2 Speed Drill and TXS 18V Cordless Compact 2 Speed Drill will take most chucks in our range.

Can you use the Fastfix keyless chuck 769067 on the new CXS/TXS 18V?

Yes, the FastFix Plastic Keyless Chuck 1.5-13mm can be used on the new CXS and TXS 18V drills

Can you use the TXS right angle chuck with the new TPC drill?

No, the TXS right angle chuck only fits TXS and CXS drills. The TPC and TDC have their own right angle and off-set attachments (205222).

Do the TXS 18 and CXS 18 have a brushless motor?

Yes the CXS 18V Cordless Compact 2 Speed Drill and TXS 18V Cordless Compact 2 Speed drill now have brushless motors for longer tool life and motor efficiency.

Does the new CXS/TXS 18V lose power when using the right angle attachment ?

No power is lost when using the right angle attachment with the new CXS/TXS 18V drills

How powerful are the CXS 18 and TXS 18 with the brushless motor?

The new CXS 18 and TXS 18 will cut (using a larger chuck) a 60-80mm hole in melamine.

The TXS 18 and CXS 18 have 3.0Ah batteries in their sets but can they take the larger batteries too?

Yes! The CXS 18 and TXS 18 are compatible all Festool batteries on the 18V platform.

TPC & TID Drills

Can I use the XS-AS part number 497951 on the TPC/TDC drill?

No. Part number 497951 only fits TXS and CXS. You will need part number 205222, right angle chuck attachment for the TPC/TDC drill.

BHC Drills

Can the FastFix Right Angle Chuck be used on all the Festool Drills?

The 205710 FastFix Right Angle Chuck Attachment for TXS 18 and CXS 18  can be used on all drills except the BHC & KHC Rotary Hammer Drill

Can the TPC 18 4 Hammer Drill mode into masonry?

Yes, but for continuous drilling applications we recommend you use the BHC 18V Hammer Drill (Part no. 576511)

Can the BHC hammer drill take centrotec accessories?

Yes. Chuck adaptor can be used to fit CentroTec items and FastFix keyless chucks (Chucks that will fit are 577072 492135 769067 769064 and 769126)

Does the BHC Rotary hammer drill have a brushless motor?

Yes the BHC Rotary Hammer drill has a brushless motor making it light-weight and easy to use.

What diameter can the BHC 18V Rotary Hammer drill into concrete and stone?

The BHC 18V can drill holes up to 18mm in concrete, stone and masonry.

Can I use the BHC Rotary Hammer Drill as normal drill and with what attachments?

Yes, you can use the BHC Hammer drill  is a standard drill/driver and using the Centrotec adaptor 769068, Centrotec chuck and accessories can be used

TID 18V Drills

Can Centrotec adapters and bits, ie: the right angle attachment, be fitted to the TID 18V impact driver?

No. Only standard 1/4 bits are compatible with the TID 18v driver. No system accessories fit the TID 18 drill.

Others, Adapters & Bits

Can you use the 493539 to drive screws into material ?

Yes, the 493539 FastFix Countersink Depth Stop Chuck Attachment can be used to drive screws, the green, quick out ring backs out screws without affecting depth setting.

Can you use the offset chuck in hammer drill modeNo. The Fastfix chucks are only desinged to be used in the drilling mode.

Does an eccentric offset chuck take generic drill bits?No not an eccentric one. It needs to be a centrotec offset chuck and this can then take generic drill bits.

Is the FastFix Eccentric Offset Chuck Attachment (205223) compatible with the DRC 18/4?

No, the FastFix Eccentric Offset Chuck Attachment (205223) is not compatible with the DRC 18/4. The DRC 18/4 has a FastFix Right Angle Chuck Attachment and the FastFix Adjustable Depth Control Chuck Attachment (769126) is also available.

Is there an adapter to allow normal drill to be used with the Centrotec Tool Chuck?

No option for standard bits in a Centrotec chuck but they can be clamped in the standard drill chuck.

What can be used to countersink screws into decking to ensure the material is not marked?

For clean drilling and countersinking, use the FastFix Countersink Depth Stop Chuck Attachment, other options are: CENTROTEC 3.5mm Countersink Bit with Depth Stop and CENTROTEC 4.5mm Countersink Bit with Depth Stop

What is the difference between the two depth stop chucks available for the C18 and T18 - 493539 Fastfix countersink depth top chuck and 769126 Fastfix adjustable depth control chuck attachment

The 769126 FastFix Adjustable Depth Control Chuck Attachment is cushioned on the end and most suitable for material that may mark. The 493539  FastFix Countersink Depth Stop Chuck Attachment has a metal tip that is desighned, but not limited to, for use with plasterboard.

What is the difference between the two drill depth stops?

There are 2 depth stops for drills in FastFix Countersink Depth Stop Chuck Attachment and FastFix Adjustable Depth Control Chuck Attachment. Both of these Depth Stops perform the same function however the FastFix DD-DC (number 1, above) is only suitable for the C 18, T 18, TDC 18 and TPC. The DC UNI FF (number 2, above) is suitable for all Fast Fix drills and has the added advantage of stop rings 17mm + 23mm to protect the work surface.

What is the recommended chuck for Festool drills and counter-sink bits?

Festool accessorries can be operated out of a standard drill chuck or a CENTROTEC chuck (part number  492135)

What is the usable length of CENTROTEC 20mm Forstner Drill Bit?

Useable length in the CENTROTEC 20mm Forstner drill bit in the chuck is 75mm

What is the usable length of CENTROTEC 35mm Forstner Drill Bit?

Useable length of the CENTROTEC 35mm Forstner drill bit in the drill chuck is 75mm
