The perfect cut

A 216mm Festool Aluminium saw blade for cutting non-ferrous metals and hard plastics — the work that requires a triple-chip-grind tooth geometry to leave a clean, burr-free edge. With a 30mm bore, 2.3mm kerf and 60 teeth in the blue-coded Aluminium family, this blade is sized for use on the KS 60 and KSC 60 mitre saws and the SYMC 70 symmetrical saw. Use this blade for the materials it was engineered for: aluminium panels 8–25mm thick, aluminium profiles, aluminium composite panels (ACP), non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass, hard plastic and hard PVC, acrylic glass, and fibre-reinforced plastics. The 60-tooth count and triple-chip-grind geometry shear the cut cleanly without tearing or melting the workpiece, leaving an edge that needs little or no finishing. Like all standard and fine-tooth Festool blades, this blade can be resharpened up to six times — significantly extending blade life and reducing cost-per-cut over generic single-use alternatives. The laser-cut, thermally adjusted blade core minimises heat build-up during cutting, helping the blade hold true and cut accurately throughout its working life. A genuine Festool blade, ground and balanced to the original specification of the saw it fits. For full saw and material compatibility, the Which Saw Blade? guide is available in the Saw Advice Hub, accessible from the Saws section on festool.com.au.
